We generally recommend booking a Filler Follow Up 2 to 4 weeks after your initial injection to evaluate settling, symmetry, and tissue response. Some areas or techniques may require earlier or later review; your injector will advise the optimal timing during your visit.
Adjustments range from small additional filler placements to correct asymmetry, dissolving or softening lumps with hyaluronidase when appropriate, and minor contour refinements. Your provider tailors changes conservatively to preserve natural results and overall facial harmony.
Dissolving filler is only performed when medically or aesthetically necessary. If persistent lumps, vascular concerns, or undesired placement exist, the provider may use hyaluronidase to safely dissolve hyaluronic acid fillers after discussing risks and expectations.
Most follow-up visits last 10 to 30 minutes depending on assessment and any adjustments. Simple checks are brief; if additional injections or treatments are needed, plan for a longer appointment to ensure careful, precise work.
You may notice subtle changes right away—slight swelling or settling can temporarily alter appearance. Final results usually stabilize over one to two weeks; your provider will explain expected changes and when the outcome is considered complete.
Follow-up adjustments carry similar mild risks: bruising, swelling, tenderness, or rare infection. Serious complications are uncommon when treated by skilled injectors. We review contraindications, aftercare, and emergency signs beforehand to minimize risk and ensure safe outcomes.
